EARLY 940 SILVER DECO CLAMPER CUFF BRACELET TAXCO
This is another beautiful bracelet from Taxco signed with initials MS. The artist is the mysterious ‘MS’ who made many of these bracelets (all of them gorgeous). He (she) used silver 940. The 940 alloy was used mainly by Hector Aguilar, as he discovered that this particular purity gave him a good balance of weight, plasticity, shine, and resistance to tarnish. One could speculate that this piece was made by one of Aguilar’s silversmiths, many of who also worked individually often in their own home shops. The hinge is tight ensuring a nice fit to any size wrist. The piece is 62 g (2.2 oz) and measures 10 cm (4 in) wide on the front. The inner circumference of the piece closed is 17 cm (6-3/4 in). The hinge is in perfect working condition and the piece is exceptionally well preserved. VINTAGE QUALITY
