| This the famous Los Castillo METALES CASADOS angel fish pin. This angel fish is made of bronze, copper and silver. The technique of mixed metals dates from pre-Columbian times and was used by the Aztecs to make jewelry and ornaments for the military, the nobility and the priests. Los Castillo brothers from Taxco were pioneers in the revival of Mexican true heritage. They researched the ancient silversmith methods and implemented both Metales Casados and Pluma Azteca techniques into their designs. This pin is in excellent vintage condition with no damage or repairs. This angel fish is a must for any Taxco jewelry collector.
