This small treasure chest is a great piece from his first design period. Made in the early 1940s. No damage or repairs. All the beautiful marks of hand wrought silver in the hammering inside the box. 3-1/2" wide; 3" deep and 2-1/2" tall. COLLECTOR QUALITY

Outstanding early Spratling cuff elegantly designed with a Pre Columbia weave design probably preceding the famous petate design. A fabulous large pin by William Spratling, this piece corresponds to his first design period and is adorned with a large amethyst cabochon. There appears to have been a repair on the back of the pin. It is common to have these early pins with either broken latches of with repairs of the closures. However, the hallmarks are authentic and there is no damage to the piece itself.
