Exceptional necklace in the school of MATL. This piece was finely crafted and it is very old, dating to the first half of the 20th C. Made probably in the 1940's Signed Domingues, this silversmith's pieces clearly had the technique and quality of those made by Ms. Poulat. Exceptional very early Matilde Poulat Necklace. This is an absolutely gorgeous piece with perfect provenance and quality that is consistent with early 20th C when craftsmanship and design were at the highest level of quality.Probably from the late 1920's to the very early 1930's. One could speculate this necklace was hand made possibly by Matilde herself.
The necklace measures 18" in length. The central medallion is simply exquisite.

Monumental piece by P. Ochoa. This bracelet made in Mexico City probably around the 1920's to the 1930's is a true Piece de Resistance. Superb proportion and presence with a jade masquette in the Teotihuacan style. The style was called Aztec Revival. Few of this pieces have survived and fewer make it to the secondary market. The bracelet is in the style pioneered by Matilde Poulat.

An amazing and true authentic MATL piece made by Matilde Poulat. This bracelet is hand singed by Matilde and has the eagle stamp that is of great importance in dating these pieces. A classic design and clearly of the highest quality of craftsmanship. when compared to newer more "clunky" pieces. This bracelet moves as if made of silk. Superb! measures 7" in length and 2" wide. This is a wonderful MATL design made inspired by a large Aztec stone altar depicting a Tree of Life. The altar is part of the permanent collection at the Museo de Antropologia in Mexico City. This is a rare find. The pendant is concave in the back and can be used as a large brooch or as a pendant.
