This is an extraordinary necklace with a HUGE amethyst pendant on the front. The design combines repousse and stone setting. We had never seen something like this before, a great piece. Marked only SILVER MEXICO it is likely an early piece from the 1930s to the 1940s is our guess. An amazing 21 inches in length the central pendant is 2-1/2" by 3-1/3". Very impressive piece. This unique and rare bracelet is possibly from early Taxco, pre eagle. It is signed Ana, and we have never before seen this signature. I suppose one could speculate that Ana Nunez may have signed her name before she began using her daughter's name as a trademark (Victoria). In any case this is a well made chunky piece that wears like a dream. Measures 6-3/4" wearable length and 1-3/4" wide! The figurals depicted are pre Columbian Aztec.

Amazing early Taxco cuff. This piece appears to be pre-eagle (pre 1948) and it is made using the Old Maguey design of made popular by Hector Aguilar. The design is based in Aztec representations of the Maguey cactus. This piece is solid and a very nice, easy to wear cuff. Made using carving techniques. It is signed LC. Measures 6" of wearable length and 1" gap. It is 1-3/4" wide at the front. A great find for collectors who admire the great Maguey design. No damage or repairs ...click for details

This extraordinary necklace is very similar and have the quality of the best necklaces worn by Frida Kahlo! It was strung using Pre Columbia Pre Classic Guerrero Beads. These beads are probably from the late Mesoamerican Pre Classic period (2000 BCE–200 CE). The necklace is absolutely magical. The stone beads are interspersed with antique Mexican silver beads (early 20th C). The silver beads were used only as spacers for decorative purpose yet the complement the stone beads on the necklace i ...click for details

Another wonderful piece similar to those featured recently in VOGUE Magazine. This Ledesma bracelet is inlaid with obsidian from the region of Teotihuacan, judged by the golden brown color of the stone when illuminated by intense light. This is a gorgeous modernist sterling bracelet. Has one superficial scratch mark on the stone, not deep not a breakage. It also has a small ding on the silver as shown in the photos. Both defects are negligible and do not detract from the piece. Comfortable a ...click for details
