One exceptional example of the best repoussage done in the early part of the 20th C in the tradition of the Plateros de la Ciudad de los Palacios (Mexico City). This fine set is both powerful and finely crafted. This is an extraordinary necklace with a HUGE amethyst pendant on the front. The design combines repousse and stone setting. We had never seen something like this before, a great piece. Marked only SILVER MEXICO it is likely an early piece from the 1930s to the 1940s is our guess. An amazing 21 inches in length the central pendant is 2-1/2" by 3-1/3". Very impressive piece. MAESTROS DE TAXCO

This unique and rare bracelet is possibly from early Taxco, pre eagle. It is signed Ana, and we have never before seen this signature. I suppose one could speculate that Ana Nunez may have signed her name before she began using her daughter's name as a trademark (Victoria). In any case this is a well made chunky piece that wears like a dream. Measures 6-3/4" wearable length and 1-3/4" wide! The figurals depicted are pre Columbian Aztec.
