This monumental piece made by Ms Canales is an extraordinary hand-wrought piece in our one-of-a-kind collection. The piece is named after a unique wild fig tree found in the Valley of Mexico. The cortex of the tree has been used as a form of paper for thousands of years. The tree also has complex and external roots systems. Priscila studied carefully these roots and also understood the importance of this tree in Mexican history.
