Unique, gorgeous piece signed JG this is an exceptional repousse clamper for Taxco. There is no eagle stamp so this piece is likely from the 1940s. Fabulous modernist design very much resembling the famous HA armadillo pieces. However, this piece has its own unique design and presence. Nice old school repoussage. The spring is in good working order. and the piece would fit from a small to a large woman's wrist due to the clamper design. Measures 2-3/4" wide on the front and 1" i ...click for details

An exceptional example of a unique type of Saltillo blankets that were made probably in Europe for the Mexican market in the later part of the 19 th C. This is an exceptional piece in excellent condition. Made most likely with a blend of wool and silk, the cloth is soft to the touch and thin with great texture. Saltillo Zarapes (aka sarape or serape) were in high demand in Mexico in the mid to late 19th C. However, the complexity of the weaving allowed a single experience weaver to produce at ...click for details

Superb necklace by Aguilar. This necklace was designed so that each link is slightly convex and only its vertices are in contact with the skin. Most of the heavier pieces by the great Masters of Taxco could be heavy on the neck and uncomfortable in the summer. This necklace may have been designed as a nice alternative for Summer elegance. The curvature of the link makes them not only sit away from the skin but also allows air to flow thus preventing the discomfort on the neck during hot and h ...click for details

This is a breathtaking necklace from the 1940s made in Mexico City. The piece was made most likely by a very talented silversmith undoubtedly trained in the Matilde Poulat Taller. Signed JGD. The quality, design and execution of this piece is among the most extraordinary we have ever offered including the authentic MATL pieces. For the most discerning collector. A very generous 18 inches of wearable length and 1-1/2" wide. COLLECTOR QUALITY

This is really an amazing find. This necklace is a very old piece from Mexico, done in the style of Matilde Poulat. However, this necklace is completely unsigned and it is clearly of the highest quality of craftsmanship. It is a true pleasure to wear. The central medallion is 4-1/2" wide and 4" long. The necklace has a wearable length of 19" !!!The perfect piece for anyone who loves early old MATL at a fraction of the price. COLLECTOR QUALITY
