Lovely early MATL pendant/brooch made in the style of a reliquary or a locket. The brooch is intended to be used by inserting a photo, a religious image or a baby's first lock of hair. The piece hand-hammered and is finely encrusted with red coral and turquoise. This piece is an excellent example of Matilde's pre-1960 work. The 2 3/4" long and 2 1/4 wide. The locket area holds a 1 1/4" piece. COLLECTOR QUALITY

A stunning necklace from the early production of Matilde Poulat. The necklace is finely crafted with pale-colored amethyst giving the piece delicate, soft tones of that contrast with the incrusted red coral. The piece is also adorned with very small turquoise cabochons framing the amethyst stones. All amethysts are fasceted. Stones are all original and the overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Each face is a miniature masterpiece of this unknown silversmith. We have found several pieces using the same MARGARITA signature.
