Amazing large Rafael Melendez silver cuff bracelet. The hand hammered marks on the silver are visible throughout the interior of the piece. This is an imposing and powerful bracelet. Exceptional example of the early Mexico City silversmiths. This large cuff bracelet is probably from the 1920s to 1930s and clearly made using the finest repousse techniques learned through generation of fine silversmiths. This cuff bears a central butterfly glyph present is Aztec monuments. The piece is marked Made in Mexico and 0.900. No maker's marks.
